I am
having problems connecting to the internet:
1.Ping the computers in your network: if ping is completed then your switch
is working properly.
2.Ping the indoor unit (RCST): if ping able then your connection into the
RCST is working properly.
3.Ping 209.131.36.159 (yahoo.com): if ping able then you have good satellite
connection and beyond.
If you are unable to ping yahoo.com, for example, check that your PC has the
correct gateway, subnet mask and two valid DNS addresses.
My web browsing is very slow:
1. Check for virus: Here is a free anti virus from McAfee Inc:
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/
2. Turn all other systems off and just use one PC terminal. Do this check if
you think you have a bandwidth problem when multiple PCs are connected.
If the one PC runs properly then you are over using your bandwidth and need
to purchase more to support all your systems. Note that just one PC
with a virus may slow your whole network.
