TECHNICAL SUPPORT - 4
What is the
effect of rain and weather conditions on the service?
Link-Sat took this into consideration and, for Ku band, chose a satellite provider
with very strong signal quality and powerful beam over West
Africa. In addition to the choice of satellite, we use a 2 or 4 watt BUC as
a standard to mitigate against the effect of adverse weather condition. Our
VSAT equipment sales to customers takes into consideration the effect of
rain and weather conditions of your area. A 1.8 meter dish is highly recommended for customers who are located high rain frequency areas. C band
service, which is affected little by rain, is also available and is particularly suitable for customers requiring 24/7 service in high rainfall areas anywhere in Africa.
